Step Four..
Books to Buy
Promoting Your Book.
I could write pages on this topic, but will try to keep it simple.
Golden rule: If you change anything in your book, change it on Amazon first (edit your final copy and upload it again on Amazon) This is done via your bookshelf listing. Click on the three dots to the right of your listing and select "edit your book".
Create a Blog. You can do this on www.wordpress.com or wix. This can be very helpful. This blog can be linked to your self-publishing sites. On Amazon Author Central etc.
Create your profile on Amazon Author Central:
https://authorcentral.amazon.com/gp/home?ie=UTF8&pn=irid130502550 This is where you will publish your bio and more information about your book.
Create a page on Facebook. Don’t pound your friends with postings. Take it easy.
Create an Instagram site .
Create a website. There are so many ways of doing this. It’s easy and if you want your own domain name you can usually obtain this free as part of a hosting deal with the site you created your website. I made this website with wix.com. It allowed more freedom of design than many others.
Upload your book to other self-publishing and promotion sites.
Here are some to get you started:

Printed Copies
Unless you are a famous person, or have done something extraordinary, printing books should be your last option. Don’t let a handful of friends push you into printing your book, let the dust settle. Wait until you get some sales and reviews on Amazon, (not from your friends). If you choose to go this route, look for a local publisher where you won’t have to pay shipping costs. Be conservative in numbers as it will be you who will have to market this book, and you don’t want to wind up with your garage full of books. There are very few bookshops today andmost have deals with publishers.
